These two tawny boys are very different. Ten days apart in age, both have a strong connection to the Czech Republic.
Chief
Chief, a Belle son, is usually on the go, looking for adventure. We haven't found anything that fazes this boy, except his G-G-Grandmother, Sass (hey, he's not stupid - VBG!). With that attitude, combined with a beautiful head and great structure, Chief should excel in the show ring. He lives with co-owner Pat Cardone, but visits often.
Here Chief is with his best buddy, his aunt Minie. Minie and dad Higgins are imports from the Czech Republic.
Mendel
Mendel is a sweeter, quieter boy. Mendel is a "Czech Connection", as both his parents were imported from the Czech Republic. He's named Mendel since he came to my home with a pedigree I love, and Gregor Mendel was the father of modern genetics. Mendel's sire Teak won Best of Breed at the Briard Club of America National in 2007.
Now comes the fun / hard part. We wait, we watch, we cross our fingers and toes that these two boys will live up to their promise! Meanwhile, we enjoy them as individuals, loving and entertaining Briards.
